ePLANET 2nd project meeting

by | Apr 12, 2022 | News

At the beginning of April, a working session on energy data visualization for public authorities was held, within the framework of ePLANET 2nd Project Meeting. We had the pleasure to listen to very interesting discussions.

Some discussions focused on the results of the surveys, so that is why we would like to share some of the insights extracted from the surveys answered by the authorities of Girona, Zlín and Crete. The aim of the surveys is to develop a proof of concept in determining the real needs of public authorities that can facilitate the deployment of energy transition projects.

If we focus on the main barriers that municipalities face in order to manage energy transition, we can see that the main problems are related to a lack of technical staff, legislation and the implication from the state. As far as difficulties in daily tasks are concerned, the main obstacles are the coordination with other levels of governance and choosing the measures to save energy at local level.

All this feedback is very useful to continue with ePLANET project! 🙌

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who joined! It was a pleasure to see you all and we hope we can meet again soon!
