CRES – The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving
CRES -the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving- is appointed by law as the National Centre coordinating RE and EE activities in Greece. Its role includes providing technical support to public bodies for improving energy-efficiency in buildings or other areas of their activities.
CRES has implemented over 1000 national, EU and international projects (Horizon 2020, IEE, Interreg MED, etc.), in the fields of energy-efficiency and renewable energy applications in buildings and communities, energy policies, capacity building and awareness-raising for energy-efficiency.
CRES is also the national contact point for the Covenant of Mayors initiative. In close collaboration with Municipalities and Regional authorities, it provides technical support in developing Sustainable Energy Action Plans, energy efficiency interventions and promotional campaigns
