On the 27th March 2022 we held the 6th session of our Stakeholders Forum, addressing the topic “Data Treatment”. This is a very interesting topic. Since 2010 we have experimented an exponentially increase of the size of the Global Datasphere, and it seems necessary to debate which is the requested data treatment and how should we use it to ensure an increased rate of informed decision-making.
Within this event, CIMNE presented the ePLANET strategy for data integration and configuration of the digitalization of SECAPs and the analysis of buildings energy consumption. Different aspects of data treatment were presented, like the approach for data organization and how ontology has been applied to identify the relations between different elements of the available data. Moreover, 2 of the ePLANET use cases were presented, in particular the integration of SECAPs data and the harmonization of data related to building energy consumption.
This initial presentation was followed by different pilot regions testimonials. In particular, the Energy Agency of Zlín region, the Girona regional government and the CRES center emphasised the importance of digitalisation and the great value of ePLANET platform on their approach to process data from Energy Transition actions.
The Stakeholders Forum concluded with a debate with all the participants on the different approaches, experiences, and challenges of data gathering and treatment.
Around 22 people from the pilot and follower regions attended the event, moderated by FEDARENE. Furthermore, the recording of the session will be forwarded to some stakeholders that were interested but could not join the live event.
