🚀 Last 31st May 2023 we held the ePLANET 7th Stakeholder Forum on “Multi-Level Governance from a Regional Perspective”.
Multi-level governance is an approach to decision-making that involves multiple levels of government, including local, regional, national and supranational actors. It can provide benefits for the definition and deployment of #EnergyTransition action plans and measures by the public sector.
However, horizontal (e.g. between local authorities) and vertical (e.g. between local and regional authorities) #governance can be particularly complex due to the involvement of multiple stakeholders, interest and priorities. 🤔
✍ In this Stakeholder Forum, we presented the actions carried out within the ePLANET project to optimise the decision-making process focusing on the challenges and benefits of the different multi-level-governance schemes from our pilot regions, and some of the conclusions on how to improve governance processes towards fast and informed Energy Transition decision-making.
