ICAEN – Catalan Institute for Energy

The Catalan Institute for Energy (ICAEN) is the entity of the Government of Catalonia responsible for developing and carrying out the Catalan energy policy, especially in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies. The mission of the energy policy of the Government of Catalonia is to achieve an economy and a society of low energy intensity and low carbon emission, innovative, competitive and sustainable in line with the European objectives. ICAEN develops programs to promote energy efficiency in all economic sectors: industry, transport, primary, and buildings.
